In Russell's words, "Part of becoming a bar mitzvah at JRC is organizing a service project. I chose Connections for the Homeless because they do work here in Evanston and the surrounding areas. They help people get and stay in their homes, provide food, clothes and other necessities. They also have hot coffee. I organized a group of friends and their families to help make lunches for 75 people. Later I went to one of their drop in sites to understand and learn about what it's like there and what they can offer. If you're able to, please donate to help this important organization."
